Date Night in The District

Every Friday, beginning today, through Labor Day; The Historic Warehouse District will be hosting 'Date Night in The District'. 14 of the neighborhood's restaurants will be offering specially chosen prix- fixe menus. Paired with wonderful dining options, parking in the area will be discounted to $3 for the evening and discounts on hotels and entertainment will also be available to complete the night. Come and join the over 3,000 residents of the Warehouse District for a romantic and fun twist on your weekend!

Cleveland's Going to Prom!

This Friday, May 13th The Warehouse District's Velvet Dog (W. 6th) will be hosting The Cleveland Prom- claiming 'its prom the way it should have been'. I'm very excited to announce the host for the evening's event will be Dennis Haskins of MR. BELDING fame via one of my all time faves, Saved By The Bell. The evening will also boast Bayside High Cheerleaders, Prom King & Queen awards, a red carpet, and balloon drop- all with no cover charge!

Prom attire is *more* then encouraged and prom night begins at 9pm. Enjoy the 90's flash back and an excuse for a great time!

Ladies Bite Out!

Ladies night takes on a whole new glam meaning this Friday for the fist ever Ladies Bite Out at Suite Sixx. Join a few of Cleveland's premiere chefs for cooking demos, tastings, and an all around great night out. The event starts at 8pm and is FREE. Make sure to nosh on a treat from A Cookie and a Cupcake and pick up tips from one of my personal favorites, Chef Mia.

That Poor Pig

I can't imagine a single Clevelander isnt talking or at least thinking about the return of LeBron James to The Q tomorrow. Frankly, alot of the chatter has been pretty negative. However, I am proud to say Barley House on West 6th has found away to spin the evening into celebrating TRUE Cleveland Athletes as well as rally Clevelanders for a self proclaimed 'pep rally'.

Come next Wednesday, Dec. 1, the Barley House (1265 West Sixth St., Cleveland) will get the ball rolling by hosting a LeBron James Roast.

It runs from 9 to 11 p.m. and features comedians razzing LeBron, not to mention drink specials -- 23 cents off all night if you bring a LeBron jersey.

It also boasts a pig roast.

"We're also roasting it out front," says Corey May, of the Barley House. "We're going to brand No. 6http://www.blogger.com/post-edit.g?blogID=3719417955572510905&postID=3660267966094554588# on it."

Yikes.

The fun starts on a positive note, at 6:30 p.m., when Cleveland Browns Peyton Hillis and Joe Haden will chat with fans and sign autographs.

"It's a pep rally," says May. "And we're proclaiming Joe Haden the new No. 23 of Cleveland." Free. Call 216-623-1700.
